* To remove build-up and add shine, use equal parts baking soda and shampoo (any kind) for 5 minutes while combing through.
(Note: Hair may be soft the first day.)

* Use baking soda plus liquid dishwashing detergent to fade out colour that is too dark or too intense.

* Remove gum from hair with WD-40.
